What happens to your information
The short version: Blockument has no accounts and no database. We look things up while you’re here and keep nothing when you leave.
The address you search
When you search an address, it is sent to public NSW Government mapping services (NSW Spatial Services and the NSW planning portal’s map servers) to find the parcel and the planning layers that apply to it. That’s the same public data anyone can query. We don’t save your searches or build any history of them.
Documents you upload
If you upload a s10.7 planning certificate, it is read in memory, matched against known certificate wording, and discarded. The file is never written to disk or any store, and it never leaves the server that reads it. What you see on screen afterwards is held in your browser for that session only — close the tab and it’s gone.
Cookies and tracking
Blockument sets no tracking cookies and runs no analytics or session recording. If we ever add usage statistics, we’ll use a cookieless, anonymous counter and say so on this page first.
What we can’t avoid
Like almost every website, the hosting infrastructure keeps standard server logs (IP address, request time, page requested) for a short period for security and reliability. We don’t use them to identify anyone.
A reminder about the results
Blockument is a guide, not legal or professional advice. Confirm anything material with a registered certifier, a town planner or your council before committing to a design or a purchase.
